Project Overview
Vicious Sound needed a more accurate and functional surround mix environment for film, TV, games, and post-production work.
The studio was already built around media sound, but the room needed better organization, clearer monitoring, cleaner system setup, and a more intentional working environment.
Sense & Sound transformed the space through a Studio In A Day installation using the S2xM Studio System, 7.1 speaker placement, screen integration, cable management, system setup, and lighting design.
The Challenge
A surround mix room needs to be accurate, organized, and easy to work in.
For Vicious Sound, the goal was to improve the studio as a complete post-production environment. The room needed reliable 7.1 speaker placement, acoustic control, a cleaner system layout, and better integration between the screen, speakers, cables, and lighting.
The space had to support detailed media sound work without unnecessary friction.
The Approach
Sense & Sound used the Studio In A Day process for Vicious Sound to quickly upgrade the room with a clear, focused installation plan.
The S2xM Studio System provided the acoustic foundation for the space. From there, Sense & Sound handled 7.1 speaker placement, ceiling-mounted TV installation, cable management, system setup, lighting design, and lighting installation.
The work centered on making the room easier to trust and easier to use.
The System: Studio In a Day
The finished studio brings the main elements of a surround mix room into better alignment.
Acoustic treatment helps control the room. Speaker placement supports more accurate surround monitoring. The ceiling-mounted TV improves screen integration for post-production work. Cable cleanup and system setup make the room more organized and professional.
Lighting was also upgraded to improve the feel and usability of the studio. Together, these elements created a cleaner and more functional 7.1 mix environment.
The Result
Vicious Sound’s studio became a more accurate, organized, and focused space for media sound work.
The room now supports surround mixing, sound design, music, and post-production with a clearer layout and a better working experience. The upgrade improved both the technical function of the space and the way the room feels day to day.
For a company working across film, TV, games, and media, the result is a studio built to support confident surround decisions and efficient post-production workflow.
Project notes are based on Sense & Sound’s direct involvement in the studio layout, acoustic design, acoustics manufacturing & installation, lighting design, speaker placement, and system planning for Vicious Sound's studio.
